LA CATRINA de LA Moda: staple

Aug 25, 2010

what I wore
my summer staple

This Summer my ultimate staple item has been..... yes you guessed it.... my "tap"/"flowey"  shorts.  I guess it's more than obvious, since you have seen me "rock" them over, and over, and over....again and again.  I have to tell you, they are a lot comfy-er,fresher, and dressier than jean shorts,  they are also edgy-er than your average Summer girly skirts.  I could go on for days justifying my intense obsession with these effortless "flowey" shorts for this Summer season, but I don't want to bore you !

Outfit #1- Grey in the Middle
F21 blazer
"VERY OLD" tank
DEENA & OZZY (UO) shoes
ALDO bag
E-BAY sunnies
F21 bra

outfit #2- relaxed pastels

H&M button down
ALDO bag
TARGET sandals
F21 cross
F21 ring

ps. follow on

I am absolutely loving your blazer in the first look!! Such a great colour for summer and fall!!
I am craziest about the soft pastel look though! The blouse and shorts compliment each other perfectly- it's the perfect balance!! The belt is awesome and colourful and your accessories are amazing as always! (really loving that silver chainlink bracelet)
Keep rocking those shorts as long as you can woman! You pull them off so well!! :)

Ari! I am so jealous of all your summer outfits, here summer is nothing but a vague memory now and that peach red blazer on the 1st outfit is great on you! also digging all your jewelry (in particular the cross ring!!!). Got love F21! My friends and I call it Forever Cheap because all other stores after becoming popular and trendy boost their prices except F21!

It is great when you find a pant that you would wear every single day! Even though I love denim I think that it is not as comfy as your pants look...and you are right, it looks much more classy and elegant than the same outfit with jeans!

Thanks for reminding me that I need a turquoise ring-

I can definitely see why these are your summer go-to shorts. They're adorable on you and they look super comfy! That colorful braided belt in the second outfit is phenomenal. I swear my mom had the same one when I was a kid. Love it! Have a great weekend, Ari!
