La Catrina Style: Spring Forward

It feels like the winter season has come and gone and we were left  with nothing but warm weather, well at least here in LA. Instead of complaining about the warm weather and the lack of cold weather, we have decided to embrace it and Spring Forward! When it comes to getting in the mood for spring, the easiest and first step should be  to update your makeup and jewelry.  Below, I share with you the products that were featured in a recent  styling project for a television segment. (in this case "product styling"). All products can be found at Macy's stores.

One color that I cannot resist for jewelry is mint! It's fresh, fun, not as girly as expected and when combined with bold shapes and interesting textures it can add an instant update to a dull winter look.  If dark blues are more of your thing then switch out the mint jewelry for a bold shade of deep blue nail polish, my favorite shade from the Chanel ones pictured above is "Magic"which is the perfect deep rich shade of blue.

Another look I am digging for this spring is the "all white" look. If you have no white in your closet it's okay, simply opt for bold white and gold statement jewelry pieces which are an edgy and fresh use of white. Another option is rocking the white nail polish (Michael Kors brand pictured above) paired with a bronzed makeup look (Benefit Cosmetics bronzers pictured above) this is easy and perfect combination to set us off on the right direction for a warmer weather vibe.

Lastly, if peach, roses and corals shades are more of your thing then you will love the new Chanel cream blush! Don't forget to add a large three dimensional statement necklace to keep the look interesting and bold.

There you have it, a little look at my work. The images above show the exact visual display set up for a Macy's television segment for Unvision network.  What do you think!? What are some of your favorite ways to update and set foot into "spring territory"?

Besos x
Ari
